We are happy to announce the First Call for International Scientific Conference on Economic and Social Development "Global Challenges: Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability". Topics are focused, but not limited to recent challenges in modern national economies and business enterprises.

Venue
The International Scientific Conference "Economic and Social Development" will take place at ISLA – Polytechnic Institute of Management and Technology (ISLA Gaia), located at Rua Diogo de Macedo, nº192 | 4400-107 Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal
Plane
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) is located 17km north of Vila Nova de Gaia and offers connections to major European cities, as well as some destinations in North America, South America and Africa.
Train
Vila Nova de Gaia is integrated into the main railway line in Portugal. Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, regional and/or urban trains run through it. The main station is Devesas Station.
Automobile
Vila Nova de Gaia has a vast network of land access, with connections to the main national roads and motorways:
- From the North – using the A3 (Valença, Braga), A3/A7 (Guimarães) or the A28 (Viana do Castelo);
- From the South – the best option is the A1 or EN1 (Lisbon, Santarém, Coimbra, Aveiro).
- Check here the driving distances between Vila Nova de Gaia and the main cities of Portugal and Spain.
Bus
There are numerous bus lines that depart or stop in Vila Nova de Gaia. From Lisbon, there are companies that provide direct bus connections.
